Membership categories
Would you like to become a Member of The Recycling Association? Full, Associate Membership and United Kingdom Security Shredding Association Membership is available to companies that meet the criteria below.
Full
membership
Full Membership of the Association is open to any business or organisation directly operating in the recycling industry. Only Full Members carry voting rights within the The Recycling Association.*

Associate Membership of the Association is open to any business or organisation that is not in itself directly operating in the recycling industry and so not being eligible for Full Membership.

United Kingdom Security Shredding Association Members of The Recycling Association require an audit (additional costs apply) to ensure Members of this division meet the latest security shredding standards to maintain business confidentiality*

To qualify for Membership, you must have a registered office in the UK or European Union.
By entering your details on the form below, you will be accepting the process for joining The Recycling Association as either a Full Member or Associate Member and agree to pay the appropriate Membership fee if your application is accepted. If you apply to join the UKSSA division, we will contact you separately about the required audit, which takes place before you join, and then every two years for each site.
By applying to join The Recycling Association, you will be sent our Articles of Association and Code of Conduct as a result of your application, and Members must comply with these when becoming Members.
The process for joining The Recycling Association involves a check that you have a registered office in the UK or European Union, our Governing Council is given the opportunity to object to your application, our Membership is given the opportunity to object to your application and for Full Membership, you will also be subject to an audit to ensure all relevant regulation is met. The decision of The Recycling Association on whether to admit you or not as a Member is final.
* UKSSA Members will also be Full Members of The Recycling Association and will have full voting rights if they operate directly in the recycling industry. Associate Members of The Recycling Association that wish to be involved in UKSSA need a vote of UKSSA members granting permission at either an online or in-person meeting.
